De applicaties voor de iPad worden in hoog tempo ontwikkeld. Gisteren stond op deze plek de App Griid in de schijnwerpers. Nu blijkt er nog een interessant programma voor de iPad te zijn waarmee je Ableton Live met je iPad kunt aansturen: touchAble.Apps for the iPad are quickly developed nowadays. Yesterday we already mentioned the App Griid, but there is another contender on the market for controlling Ableton Live with the touch screen of the iPad: touchAble.

Voor de sequencer Ableton Live bestaan verschillende hardware-controllers voor live-sets als de APC40 en de APC20 van Akai of de Novation Launchpad. Deze hardwarecontrollers hebben er nu op het livepodium een geduchte concurrent bij met het programma Griid voor de iPod Touch, iPhone en iPad. There are different hardware controllers on the market for Ableton Live which you can use playing your live sets, for example APC40 and the APC20 made by Akai or the Novation Launchpad. These hardware controllers might get a strong contender on the live podium: Griid.

Native Instruments heeft de drumsampler Battery een nieuwe update gegeven. Versie 3.1 biedt een interessante emulatie van het “gruizige” geluid van de klassieke MPC-60 en SP-1200 drumsamplers, die je individueel voor iedere drumpad kunt instellen. Native Instruments have updated their drum sampler Battery. Version 3.1 can emulate the sound of the classic MPC-60 and SP-1200 drum samplers, a technology borrowed from NI Machine 1.5. The emulations are available for every individual cell for ultimate flexibility.

Afgelopen zomer kwamen Reason en Record van Propellerhead Software glansrijk door de betatest en volgende week is het eindelijk zover; Reason 5 ligt vanaf woensdag 25 augustus in de winkel, Record 1.5 is een gratis update voor gebruikers van Record 1.0. Het duo krijgt een aantal interessante nieuwe features die de zeer stabiele software een stuk dichterbij de ultieme sequencer brengt.Reason 5 and Record 1.5 will be available on wednesday 25th August. Both will get some interesting new features, which brings them a step closer to the ultimate sequencer software. Propellerhead recently launched a few videos which demonstrate the new features.
