Kevin Holland en John Staskevich kondigen aan dat hun NTH Music Synthesizer nu beschikbaar is via Kickstarter.com. De NTH is beschikbaar van 2 februari tot en met 1 maart 2012. De productie van de NTH start pas als de financiering via Kickstarter rond is. Kevin Holland and John Staskevich announced that their NTH Music Synthesizer is now available on Kickstarter.com. The NTH is available for purchase from February 2, 2012 to March 1, 2012. Upon successful funding, production of the NTH will begin and the entire design will be open sourced.

In het kader van de Amerikaanse beurs NAMM 2012 heeft Akai de MAX49 aangekondigd, een usb/midi keyboard met 49 semi-gewogen toetsen en aftertouch. Opvallend aan de MAX49 zijn de led-faders met aanraakbediening, de CV/gate outputs en de 12 “echte” MPC pads.
