Voor het geluid van deze drummachine tekent niemand minder dan David Guetta, een van de populairste DJ’s van dit moment. Het aardige is dat ElectroBeats ook de drumgeluiden bevat die Guetta heeft gebruikt voor de single Who’s that chick van Rihanna.Uvi.net has released ElectroBeats, a drummachine for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. David Guetta, one of today’s most popular DJ’s, is responsible for the sounds of this app. A nice detail is that ElectroBeats also has the drum sounds that Guetta used for Rihanna’s song Who’s that chick.

FXpansion had een paar weken terug een video-teaser geplaatst van zijn nieuwe product Geist. In de onderstaande nieuwe video van FXpansion kun je zien dat Geist wel iets meer is dan een nieuwe versie van de drummachine Guru. Het lijkt meer op een complete sequencer, je kunt er zelfs mee samples mee opnemen.A few weeks ago FXpansion published a video teaser of its soon to be released product Geist. In this new video FXpansion shows that Geist is more than an update of the Guru drum machine. Geist looks more like a complete sequencer. You can even record samples.

Geist wordt op 17 november aanstaande gelanceerd en gaat €189 kosten, meldt FXpansion op zijn YouTube-kanaal. Het ziet er naar uit dat Guru nu eindelijk een opvolger krijgtFXpansion has announced a new drum machine with a build in sequencer and effects. Geist is to be released on November 17th and will cost $249 / £157 / €189, FXpansion mentions on their YouTube channel. With Geist good old Guru might finally get a successor.

Native Instruments heeft de drumsampler Battery een nieuwe update gegeven. Versie 3.1 biedt een interessante emulatie van het “gruizige” geluid van de klassieke MPC-60 en SP-1200 drumsamplers, die je individueel voor iedere drumpad kunt instellen. Native Instruments have updated their drum sampler Battery. Version 3.1 can emulate the sound of the classic MPC-60 and SP-1200 drum samplers, a technology borrowed from NI Machine 1.5. The emulations are available for every individual cell for ultimate flexibility.

Afgelopen zomer kwamen Reason en Record van Propellerhead Software glansrijk door de betatest en volgende week is het eindelijk zover; Reason 5 ligt vanaf woensdag 25 augustus in de winkel, Record 1.5 is een gratis update voor gebruikers van Record 1.0. Het duo krijgt een aantal interessante nieuwe features die de zeer stabiele software een stuk dichterbij de ultieme sequencer brengt.Reason 5 and Record 1.5 will be available on wednesday 25th August. Both will get some interesting new features, which brings them a step closer to the ultimate sequencer software. Propellerhead recently launched a few videos which demonstrate the new features.
