Akai introduceert de MPC Fly voor de iPad 2. De drumcontroller wordt geleverd met een MPC Fly iPad app. De app is ontwikkeld door Retronyms, de makers van de app Tabletop. In het kader van de Amerikaanse beurs NAMM 2012 heeft Akai de MAX49 aangekondigd, een usb/midi keyboard met 49 semi-gewogen toetsen en aftertouch. Opvallend aan de MAX49 zijn de led-faders met aanraakbediening, de CV/gate outputs en de 12 “echte” MPC pads. As part of the NAMM 2012, Akai has announced the MAX49, a USB/ MIDI keyboard with 49 semi-weighted keys and aftertouch. MAX49 features LED touch faders, CV/ gate outputs and 12 “real” MPC pads.

Native Instruments introduceerde een tijdje geleden Machine, de succesvolle drumsoftware en controller. AKAI kan natuurlijk niet achterblijven met zijn roemruchte MPC-verleden. Image Line kondigt aan dat FL Studio Mobile nu beschikbaar is in de App Store. Daarmee is FL Studio de eerste grote sequencer die nu gedeeltelijke integratie biedt met de iPad, iPhone, en iPod touch. Er bestaan twee verschillende versies: FL Studio Mobile HD voor de iPad en FL Studio Mobile voor iPhone en iPod touch. Image Line announces that FL Studio Mobile is available now in the App Store. FL Studio is the first major sequencer that offers partial integration with the iPhone, iPhone, and iPod touch. There are two different versions: FL Studio Mobile HD for iPad and FL Studio Mobile for iPhone and iPod touch.
