Voor de gebruikers van de sequencer GarageBand heeft de hardwarefabrikant een aantal leuke nieuwe features in petto, met onder andere Flex Time, Groove Matching en nieuwe simulaties van gitaarversterkers en -effecten.Apple has released iLife ’11 for Mac. The package brings new versions of iMovie, iPhoto and the sequencer GarageBand. The new features for GarageBand are Flex Time, Groove Matching and new simulations of guitar amps and stompboxes.

De producers van de zangeres Cher gebruikten in 1998 Auto-Tune als geheim wapen bij het maken van de track Believe waarin het effect voor het eerst werd gebruikt. Sindsdien is het niet meer weg te denken uit de muziekindustrie. Antares Audio Technologies has released Auto-Tune 7. In 1998 the producers of the female singer Cher used the effect successfully as their secret weapon for the track Believe. In the past decade and even today the Cher effect is used and abused by many popular artists.
