U-he heeft zijn Zebralette synthesizer nu gratis beschikbaar gesteld. De Zebralette is het kleine broertje van de geweldige synthesizer Zebra 2 en beschikt over één oscillator, twee LFO’s, en zogenaamde GeoMorph, waarbij de golfvorm van de oscillator geleidelijk overloopt in een andere golfvorm. U-he Zebralette is available for free now. Zebralette is the little brother of the great synthesizer Zebra 2, and has one oscillator, two LFOs and GeoMorph, a feature that lets the waveform of the oscillator gradually morph into another waveform.

Het is altijd interessant als Maxx Claster van Image Line met iets nieuws komt, in dit geval met een groovebox. FL Studio Mobile voor iOS haalt het wat mogelijkheden betreft nog niet bij NanoStudio, een echte synthesizer zit er helaas nog niet in. Maar de integratie met FL Studio voor Windows betaalt zich wel uit. Deze week krijgt FL Studio Mobile een update, waardoor je zelfgemaakte (gesamplede) instrumenten vanuit FL Studio kunt importeren. FL Studio Mobile for iOS does not yet have NanoStudio‘s capabilities, unfortunately a real synthesizer is currently not available. But the integration with FL Studio for Windows pays certainly out. This week FL Studio Mobile will be updated. One of the main features is the option to import sampled instruments from FL Studio.

Propellerhead Software lanceert aanstaande september Reason 6 en Balance, een nieuwe audio-interface speciaal voor Reason-gebruikers. Met de lancering van Reason 6 wordt Record overbodig omdat alle eigenschappen van Record in Reason 6 zijn opgenomen.Propellerhead Software has announced Reason 6 and Balance for next September. Balance is a new audio interface designed for Reason users. Record becomes obsolete with Reason 6 because all features of Record will be present in Reason 6, including the SSL console inspired mixer, the Neptune effect and ID8 instruments.

Afgelopen week kwam er een nieuwe synthesizer uit in de App Store voor de iPad, Sunrizer genaamd. Hoewel, niets blijkt minder waar te zijn. Doordat het icoon van Sunrizer sprekend lijkt op die van de uitstekend klinkende Horizon, trekt de app direct de aandacht. Op de site van BeepStreet blijkt dat de softwaremaker de naam van Horizon heeft veranderd in Sunrizer.Last week, a new synthesizer called Sunrizer arrived in the App Store for iPad. Although, it looked like a new synth arrived. The icon of Sunrizer immediately attracted attention, because it resembles that of the excellent sounding app Horizon. On the website of BeepStreet we found out that the software maker changed the name of the Horizon synth into Sunrizer.

Brickwall Audio heeft Syklix gelanceerd, een gratis pakket met instrumenten voor Kontakt 4. De inspiratie voor dit samplepakket haalt Brickwall Audio uit de geluiden van soundtracks als TRON: Legacy en Blade Runner.Brickwall Audio has launched Syklix, a free suite of sample based instruments for Kontakt 4. Het heeft een paar jaar geduurd voordat de eerste videobeelden van impOSCar 2 op internet verschenen, maar eindelijk is het zover. Geforce software heeft impOSCar 2 gelanceerd voor de Mac. De Windows-versie van deze VST-plug-in verschijnt binnenkort.It has been a couple of years before the first video of impOSCar 2 appeared on the internet, but finally it has arrived. GForce has released impOSCar 2 for the Mac. The Windows version of this VST plug-in will appear shortly.

BeepStreet heeft een paar weken geleden de synthesizer Horizon uitgebracht voor de iPad. Horizon heeft naast de saw (zaagtand), PWM pulse en triangle (driehoek) de beroemde SuperSaw golfvorm aan boord, zodat hij het volle geluid van de Roland JP-8000 kan nabootsen. A couple of weeks ago BeepStreet released the Horizon synthesizer for iPad. The famous Supersaw waveform is included in addition to the Saw, PWM pulse and Triangle, so it can emulate the rich sound of the Roland JP-8000.
