Sonic Academy bouwt nu ook VST-synthesizers. Het geluid van de synthesizer ANA doet erg denken aan de trancy geluiden van Sylenth. De synthesizer van Sonic Academy wordt binnenkort verwacht voor Windows en Mac OS.Sonic Academy now also builts VST synthesizers. The sounds of the ANA synthesizer seem to be comparable with the trancy sounds of Sylenth. Sonic Academy’s synthesizer will be out soon for Windows and Mac.

Celemony meldt dat het de Technical Grammy heeft gewonnen van de Recording Academy. De Duitse fabrikant van Melodyne, momenteel dé software voor toonhoogtecorrectie, krijgt deze Grammy vanwege zijn “enorme technische bijdrage aan het opnameveld”. Celemony announces that they have won the Recording Academy’s Technical Grammy. The German manufacturer of Melodyne, currently the leading software for pitch correction, gets the Grammy for their “contributions of outstanding technical significance to the recording field”.

Veranderingen en verbeteringen ten opzichte van de 2200a zijn onder andere een rubberachtige coating en hij schijnt “schoner” te klinken.SE Electronics introduces the SE 2200A II microphone. Kevin Holland en John Staskevich kondigen aan dat hun NTH Music Synthesizer nu beschikbaar is via Kickstarter.com. De NTH is beschikbaar van 2 februari tot en met 1 maart 2012. De productie van de NTH start pas als de financiering via Kickstarter rond is. Kevin Holland and John Staskevich announced that their NTH Music Synthesizer is now available on Kickstarter.com. The NTH is available for purchase from February 2, 2012 to March 1, 2012. Upon successful funding, production of the NTH will begin and the entire design will be open sourced.
