Het is altijd interessant als de grote jongens een VST-plug-in uitbrengen. Native Instruments heeft in samenwerking met Softube Vintage Compressors uitgebracht, een bundel van drie compressors. Deze compressoreffecten zijn gemodelleerd naar oude hardwaremodellen en kun je, als we het goed begrijpen, alleen gebruiken in combinatie met de gratis Guitar Rig Player of de betaalde Guitar Rig Pro, waarvan een upgrade momenteel in de aanbieding is.
Het idee van het gebruik van Guitar Rig als een soort host is dat je zo een virtuele channel strip kunt maken, bijvoorbeeld een combinatie van compressors en een equalizer. Daar zal mogelijk wel wat kritiek op komen.Dat blijkt ook wel op het forum van KVR, waar je nu eerste reacties van VST-plug-in-fans kunt lezen.

It is always interesting when the big boys release a new VST plug-in. Native Instruments has teamed up with Softube and just released Vintage Compressors, a bundle of three compressors. These compressors are based on old hardware models. You can only use these compressor effects , if we understand it well, with Guitar Rig Player or Guitar Rig Pro.
