Met Geco, een app voor de Leap Motion Controller, kunnen synthesizers vanaf deze zomer worden bediend met handgebaren, zoals in het onderstaande filmpje is te zien. Dit werkt met midi. Eareckon heeft met EARebound zijn eerste delay uitgebracht, een plug-in die creatief kan worden ingezet op loops. Delays vind je tegenwoordig standaard bij iedere DAW software, dus je moet als plug-in maker iets extra’s bieden. Kilohearts heeft Faturator uitgebracht als RE-plug-in voor Reason. Deze distortion plug-in is eenvoudig in gebruik en schijnt erg goed te klinken. De reviews op internet zijn positief.

Native Instruments heeft Komplete 9 aangekondigd. De prijs blijft erg aantrekkelijk met 499 euro, een paar jaar geleden lag deze prijs nog ruim twee keer zo hoog. Komplete 9 is de instrumenten- en effectenbundel van Native Instruments. Het pakket voegt Battery 4 en Monark toe. De laatste is een nieuwe op de Moog gebaseerde synthesizer. Native Instruments (NI) has announced Komplete 9. The price remains very attractive with € 499. A few years ago this price was more than twice as high.
