Reaper 4 released

Reaper 4Cockos has launched Reaper 4. Reaper is a cheap alternative (from $ 60, € 42) for conventional digital audio workstations (DAW) like ProTools, Cubase, Sonar and Logic. The program is relatively very small, so you can even install it on a USB stick.

The nice thing about the development of Reaper is that the software is updated very often. Through the year, these updates give Reaper new options that you can use immediately in your music.

Because of these regular updates, the difference in comparison with Reaper 3 is not shocking. New features include the pitch envelopes which let you adjust the pitch of audio in different ways, improved support for surround sound with the ReaSurround plug-in, the Project Bay, which lets you choose your media and effects per project, and MIDI has been enhanced so you can easily create arpeggios and melodies by using different predefined scales and chords.
