Moog releases firmware update for Minitaur synthesizer

The modern analog synthesizer is half a computer. Moog Music has released a firmware update (REV 2) for the great sounding Minitaur bass synthesizer. With the new specifications, the Minitaur is even more desirable than it already was.

New in Minitaur REV 2:

  • Store 100 presets to Minitaur’s internal memory;
  • A new Decay/Release mode allows for independent control of Decay and Release times from Minitaur’s front panel;
  • Pitch, Volume and Gate Controller inputs can be re-mapped to other control parameters;
  • Minitaur can now act as a CV to MIDI converter.

The integration with Ableton Live looks also very nice. In the video below you can watch a demonstration how to set up the Minitaur with Ableton Live:
