Arto Vaarala has released Kirnu, a free MIDI arpeggiator. The VST plug-in is designed with real-time tweaking and usability in mind. In this interesting video you can see Kirnu in action:
Vaarala says that the main features include:
- ultra precise MIDI engine;
- user interface with easy to use controls;
- hold mode;
- scale engine with many scales to choose from;
- keyboard split.
Kirnu has a 16 step pattern view, from where you can tweak each step values separately. The two independent step level MIDI CC controls have teach mode. The plugin is available for Windows (32-bits), a Mac version will follow later. For more information visit www.kirnuarp.com, where you can also make a donation if you like this plugin.
