Hollow Sun Polivoks: odd, mysterious synthesizer samples for $1

This month Hollow Sun sells its Polivoks sample library for only $1 (€0,75). The samples are recorded from the Polivoks, an odd, mysterious analogue synthesizer from the Soviet Union which was developed in the eighties by the engineer Vladimir Kuzmin in order to offer an alternative for the synthesizers from the Western world.

According to Hollow Sun, the Polivoks has a fairly standard design but is brash and unstable. It gives a typical eighties sound which is great for basses and leads, mentions Hollow Sun.

The samples are available for Kontakt 3.5 users. For more information about this sample library visit the Hollow Sun website.
