Mason – Dutch producers duo about technique during spectacular videoshow
This year the Dutch producers duo Mason released their debut album They Are Among Us. While playing their DJ sets, Mason gives a spectacular light and video show. They run their sets in Ableton Live and control the light and video effects using their own programmed Max for Live patch. The effects react in real time to the music. Polychord 2 updated: virtual MIDI and MIDI Clock/Sync
After we posted the article about Genome MIDI Sequencer, we learned that it is not the only app with MIDI MIDI Clock / Sync. The app Polychord 2 has just been updated with the same features. Polychord now sends MIDI output to all available ports: USB, WiFi and virtual midi. Continue reading

White Noise Audio releases Genome MIDI Sequencer for iPad
White Noise Audio has released Genome MIDI Sequencer (GMS) for iPad. This sequencer app makes no sounds, but controls other hardware like synthesizers and drum machines via MIDI. There are already other MIDI sequencers available for the iPad, but the special thing about GMS is that it can send and receive MIDI clock messages. So it can sync to the tempo of your hardware.
