Vince Clarke presenteert in deze video zijn zeer smeuïg klinkende Pro-One, die hij begin jaren tachtig kocht en in die tijd voor diverse albums heeft gebruikt. Feeltune heeft Rhizome gelanceerd, een pc die is geoptimaliseerd voor muzikanten. Rhizome was een van de hoogtepunten van de MusikMesse 2010 en de toekomst van groovemachines, jubelt Gearjunkies. De machine ziet er op het oog indrukwekkend uit met vier ingebouwde displays, veel knoppen en drumpads. Feeltune has released Rhizome, a pc optimized for musicians. Rhizome was one of the highlights of the MusikMesse 2010 and the future of groove machines, states Gearjunkies. The machine looks impressive with the four build in displays, lots of buttons and the drum pads.

Cakewalk heeft Sonar X1 gisteren geïntroduceerd. De sequencerproducent mag zich verheugen op een grote belangstelling gezien het feit dat hun server momenteel de vraag maar nauwelijks aankan. De concurrentie staat ook niet stil. Image-Line komt met een interessante group buy via de netwerksite Facebook. Deelnemers aan de group buy kunnen een korting krijgen tot 50 procent op de sequencer FL Studio Producer Edition en Fruity Edition. Bovendien krijgen zij net als de reguliere kopers van deze downloadbare pakketten ook eventuele toekomstige updates gratis. Zo vlak voor de kerstdagen worden nog even snel een paar interessante synthesizers gelanceerd. Tone2 lanceerde afgelopen week de extraverte, trancy klinkende ElectraX. XILS-lab komt nu met de wat ingetogener, op analoge hardware gebaseerde PolyKB II.Just before Christmas some interesting synthesizers are launched. Tone2 released the extroverted, trancy sounding ElectraX. And XILS-lab comes with the more timid sounding PolyKB II which is based on analogue hardware.

Bij Image-Line werken ze hard aan FL Studio 10. De pas uitgebrachte FL Studio 9.7 Betaversie laat weer een paar interessante nieuwe features zien. De meest opvallende tools zijn Pitcher en Newtone, waarmee de toonhoogte van bijvoorbeeld zang kan worden aangepast. En daarmee is er weer een nieuwe host waarmee gebruikers standaard het Cher-effect kunnen toepassen.Image-Line is working hard on FL Studio 10. The just released FL Studio 9.7 Beta version shows a few interesting features, with Pitcher and Newtone as the most important additions. These tools let the user harmonize or change the pitch of audio, for example on vocals. Again with these new features there is a host with a standard Cher effect on board.

Tone2 heeft ElectraX gelanceerd. Het lijkt erop dat deze nieuwe vst-plugin Gladiator 2 opvolgt als het vlaggeschip van de softwaremaker. De interface van ElectraX kan maar liefst vier synthesizers tegelijk afspelen. De synthesizers beschikken over dertien verschillende soorten synthese. ElectraX kan zowel monofone als polyfone synthesizers combineren en wave-bestanden importeren.Tone2 has released ElectraX. It seems to be the new flagship synthesizer of the German software company. The interface can play four synthesizers at once. ElectraX has thirteen different synthesis methods, can combine both monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers and also supports the import of waveforms.
